Hollywood is abuzz once again as there are only a few hours left before this year's Academy Awards gets underway. The winners and the not-so-lucky stars, directors, cinematographers, stylists, costume designers, sound engineers, OST composers and other Oscar hopefuls and guests are also looking forward to the food and after-parties

Food

The special Oscars menu will again be prepared by Hollywood celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck, who has been busy preparing this year's menus since December. Preparing the 16,000 individual dishes takes a staff of 900 people. Wolfgang Puck said there will be chicken potpie and steak.

Parties

Graydon Carter, Vanity Fair editor-in-chief, will be hosting the magazine's 21st annual Oscar party. This year it will be held at the Sunset Tower in West Hollywood. Oscar winners are expected to attend this star-studded party for photo ops.

Chef Gordon Ramsey is the caterer for Sir Elton John's AIDS Foundation Viewing Party, which will be celebrated for the 22nd time this year. The latest Audi cars will be transporting the celebrity guests. Party sponsors include MAC Viva Glam and Neuro Drinks.

Another bash is Madonna's After Party, which will be held at the mansion of Guy Oseary, her manager. Hollywood A-listers such as Sandra Bullock, Leonardo DiCaprio, Christian Bale and Salma Hayek-Pinault are expected to attend. This one is sponsored by Gucci.

Official Gift Bag

Win or lose, nominees for this year's Oscars will be taking home an $85,000 swag bag. Within the bag are a $16,000 hair transplant gift check as well as a walking tour of Japan package worth $15,000. Others items include gifts for the home, personal hygiene and pampering, resort packages and diet candies.

For the VIPs of Hollywood, nine-time Grammy winner John Legend will be tonight's highlight performer. Expected winners this year include include Tom Hanks, Lupita Nyong'o, Amy Adams, Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper, Cate Blanchett and Leonardo DiCaprio.
