It's almost time for the "Lego Dimensions." One of the beloved franchises in the market, the new game is highly anticipated. In a new trailer for the upcoming game, Hollywood star Alison Brie reprised her role in "Lego Movie" as Unikitty.

The video started out as Brie's character receiving a package of Lego bricks that included the beloved pink cat. "Cute," she remarked to Unikitty as she regarded her cartoon alter ego. "I sense we have a lot in common."

When Brie can't find the last brick to complete her creation, she gets sucked in a vortex to join the other iconic characters in the "Lego Dimensions" in the video game adventure.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, TT Games and The Lego Group combine forces to create this new game, where different characters from various worlds are sucked in into a mysterious vortex. It turns out the game antagonist Lord Vortech is collecting the villains from the different worlds to help him take over.

The upcoming "Lego Dimensions" will include gameplay from "The Simpsons," "Doctor Who," "Ghostbusters," "Portal," "Jurassic World," "Midway Arcade," "LEGO Chima" and "Scooby-Doo!," according to a report from Coming Soon. It will be fusing together the worlds of toys and video games.

According to a report from the Los Angeles Times, the innovation of the video game is something that Warner Bros. has been planning for quite some time. Founder and creative director of Warner Bros.' TT Games Jon Burton spoke about this new move.

"This allows us to bring a creative vision that we've wanted to do for years," said Burton. "It's a new way to play."

The Lego universe is constantly expanding with a few other Lego films in store. Three more Lego movies are in the works, including a sequel to the first movie scheduled for a 2018 release as well as "Lego Ninjago" and "Lego Batman" slated for release in 2017.

"The Lego franchise is very important to the studio across all of our businesses," Warner Bros.' entertainment chief executive Kevin Tsujihara explained to Los Angeles Times. "They are now the No. 1 toy maker in the world. There's a lot of brand affinity. There's also a lot of great memories that parents have [with Lego]. We think there is a huge opportunity."

"Lego Dimensions" for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and Nintendo Wii U will be released on Sept. 27. Pre-orders are available.
