Anne Hathaway proved that she is such a Mariah Carey fan during the premiere of her new film with Robert De Niro, "The Intern." The actress couldn't help but gush about the singer during her red carpet interview on Monday at the Ziegfeld Theatre in New York.

In a YouTube video shared by the Associated Press, Anne couldn't contain her excitement seeing the superstar. Apparently, the actress immediately spotted the singer walking the red carpet with her new boyfriend James Packer.

Anne seemed starstruck just seeing Mariah at her movie premiere. During her interview, the actress keeps giving surreptitious glances at her side just to catch a glimpse of her favorite singer. When asked by the reporter if she would like to go up to Mariah, Anne replies, "Oh my god no, I'm freaking out. She's like two arm-lengths away right now."

The interviewer mentioned about Mariah having her hair brushed before stepping on the red carpet, to which Anne chimes, "Of course she was, it's just the best glamorous ever. "

The 31-year-old seemed rather overwhelmed when she saw Mariah coming near her, glancing furtively every now and then at her direction with her eyes wide in amazement. "She's now an arm-length away," Anne tells the reporter as Mariah steps very near to the actress for an interview with Extra TV.

In the video interview, the reporter is heard convincing Anne that now is the right time for her to meet Mariah. However, the actress says otherwise, saying she will meet her when the time is right. Instead, Anne seems content to let Mariah be on the background.

"I just love that this is on camera right now. This is so fun," she tells the reporter after she moves her position so the camera could get a better view of Mariah standing behind her. All throughout the interview, Anne had a wide grin on her face as she talks to the reporter about her favorite singer.

"The Intern" premiere was also a big night for Mariah Carey, since it was the first time she went public with her relationship with James Packer. It reportedly wasn't a PDA-filled red carpet moment for the couple. However, they did share a kiss after they walked away from the photo pool. According to Mirror UK, Mariah and James have been rumored to be dating for months after they were spotted together on a romantic getaway.
