'Ray Donovan' Season Finale Spoilers: Donovan Prays in Moment of Desperation [Watch]
“Ray Donovan,” the Golden Globe-nominated Showtime series about a Boston-born “fixer” working for rich criminals in LA, is about to end its third season.
A teaser for Episode 12 of Season 3, called "Exsuscito," shows Ray (Liev Schreiber) anguishing in a confessional booth and then passing out in a church. Obviously in spiritual torment, the usually tough-as-nails Donovan begs God, “Please make it right.”
Christy Williams, one of this season’s standout characters, recently spoke to Enstarz about her role as a coke-dealing hooker named Michelle who strikes up a romance with Mickey's (Jon Voight) illegitimate son as well as Ray’s half brother Daryll (Pooch Hall).
Williams says she knew what she was getting into when she signed on for the role and praised the series for its creativity as well as for the support she has received from the cast.
“I feel so lucky because it's really a collaborative environment on set and that's a testament to the writers and the stars,” she said.
In particular she said she finds inspiration in Jon Voight, who, she said, “goes above and beyond to make sure everyone feels included in the creative process of making scenes better.”
The actress recalled how one day on set when things weren’t going so well, the veteran actor had told the cast at lunch, "Look guys, the most important thing is to keep it positive and make it about the work."
“That's something I think about all the time now and even just within my daily life,” Williams said. “You just have to keep things positive and make it about putting out good work. I think that's some of the best advice I've ever heard because at the end of the day that's the basics.”
“Ray Donovan” air its season finale on Sept. 27 at 9 p.m. ET on Showtime.
