Louis Tomlinson Girlfriend & Twitter Updates: 1D Singer Lashes Back at Complaining Parents; Hopes #CryingParents Will 'Get Some'
The 1D member got back at parents on Twitter after they complained on one of the band's song having "suggestive" lyrics.
"Dear Mr and Mrs Stone, I'm deeply saddened by your complaint to Chelsea High School regarding our lyrics..." Louis tweeted.
"I hope the two of you 'get some' very soon :) #cryingparents," he continued in another tweet.
A high school show choir from Chelsea High School was reportedly set to perform Live While We're Young, one of the band's popular songs, reports MLive. However, two parents allegedly complained regarding the song's lyrics - specifically the phrase "get some."
The song was Chelsea High School show choir music director, Stephen Hinz' choice for the choir group, named Company C, to perform. One choir member reportedly first raised the concern to Hinz, mentioning that the lyrics had suggestive content.
Mary and Michael Stone, parents of the choir member who complained, met with the choir music director, then principal Kapolka after Hinz' did not change his song choice. "I went to the principal and the principal admitted that he recognized there were references to sex in the song," Mary Stone told MLive.
Apparently, Stone asked for "get some" to be changed to "let's go." "Thursday Kapolka notified the Stones that the lyric didn't violate school policy and that the show would go on as scheduled Saturday, says MLive.
The Stones then appealed to the media and to Superintendent Andrew Ingall but to no avail. Ingall told MLive that he "affirms" principal Kapolka's determination that the choice of song does not violate school policies or guidelines.
Live While We're Young's chorus goes as follows:
"Lets go crazy, crazy, crazy till we see the sun.
I know we've only met but let's pretend it's love.
And never, never, never stop for anyone.
Tonight let's get some.
And live while we're young."
Does the 1D song really insinuate sex?
