Lebron James is the most popular -- and arguably the most talented -- player in the NBA. But as 'King James' approaches his potential opt-out at the end of this season, we are all reminded of the last time he was without a team.

In what was known as "The Decision," LeBron staged his very own announcement ceremony on ESPN and declared to the world that he would be ditching his home state of Ohio so that he could take his "talents" to South Beach. As we expected, LeBron was then met with a great deal of criticism for his pretentious comments.

More than likely we will not be seeing LeBron doing the same thing again this offseason, and considering how big of a deal he made about his announcement, it is hard to see him leaving Miami. If he does leave Miami, his "decision" would look even worse in hindsight. It comes as no surprise that LeBron recently said that he "can't" see himself leaving Miami.

"We don't know what could happen from now to July," he said to NBA TV a few weeks ago. "You know, so, what I've been able to do this whole season to this point is just worry about what's at hand, and that's winning a championship."

LeBron's statement reinforced his desire to stay, but it wasn't necessarily a strong case. He still downplayed it and shifted the focus on the current season as opposed to the upcoming offseason.

"And hopefully at the end of the year, I can put myself in position where I can hold that Larry O'Brien Trophy up once again and I'll assess what I have to do with my future after that."

James, who has more than 11 million followers on Twitter, has been smart about making sure not to talk about the upcoming offseason on social media.

As far as a contract is concerned, LeBron shouldn't be too worried about money. A great deal of his income stems from endorsements and it was reported in early February that his sneakers are among the best-selling ones among NBA players who have sneakers on the market.

What do you think? Do you expect LeBron to stay in Miami or will he leave? And if he leaves, will he try 'The Decision' all over again? Let us know what you think in the comments section below.
