David Beckham and Kevin Hart make for an unexpected bromance, but the two stars make it work in an H&M campaign video released Monday, Sept. 28.

The superstar athlete showed off his funny side with his pal Hart in the hilarious six-minute spot. The short film sees the comedian doing everything he can to be like his idol Beckham for a role in a movie dubbed "I, Beckham." When the soccer star expressed doubt at the unlikely casting, Hart told him, "Here's the thing, nobody is going to expect it. And if I pull this off, this is the one that people are going to talk about for ages."

To which Beckham replied with sarcasm, "People are going to talk about it for sure."

The English athlete wasn't exactly thrilled at the prospect of Hart shadowing him all day and mirroring his every move to get into character, from being dressed exactly the same to jumping into bed with him to mimicking his distinct accent.

In the end, the slogan read, "It's all about getting the essentials right."

It's part of H&M's upcoming "Modern Essentials selected by David Beckham" collection,

The film featured the classic combo of the straight-edged man and the goofy sidekick, which the celebrity pair played up in the H&M film.

A report from Glamour Magazine revealed that Beckham found the experience of shooting with the comedian fun saying, "I hope everyone enjoys watching it as much as I did making it."

He added, "It's always an interesting experience to see someone else's view of how you are. I guess I'm not aware of having a particular pose or look, I'm just being myself. So it's funny to see that my actions and the way I move are also part of my character. I've always thought it was important to not take yourself too seriously, and this campaign is the perfect chance to show why."

Hart didn't find it difficult to work with the former soccer star either. According to the funny man, the two stars are so much alike. With his trademark confidence and humor, Hart told Glamour Magazine, "The thing that David and I have in common is sexiness. It comes naturally to me."

Beckham echoed that sentiment, dubbing himself and Hart as "#twins" in an Instagram photo he posted while shooting the promo last July.

H&M's "Modern Essentials selected by David Beckham" collection will be launched on Thursday, Oct. 1.
