Hideo Kojima's long-running streak working on "Metal Gear Solid V" has finally ended after completing its final series, "Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain." After announcing that "The Phantom Pain" will be his last, Konami took the initiative to let fans know that despite Kojima's exit, there's really no reason not to continue the beloved game.

According to Attack of the Fan Boy, Graham Day of Konami UK has hinted that the Metal Gear franchise has a lot more to deliver. The game's storyline and characters have been filled with details needing to be explored more by fans.

Graham Day, in an interview with Gameon Daily, answered the alleged rumors that Konami will end its PC and console platforms in exchange of wide campaign on games exclusively designed for mobile phones. In his statement, Day said, "Don't believe everything you hear or read in the press." Konami is completely committed on creating console and PC games as well as AAA games. As for the "Metal Gear" franchise, Day believes that other developers can continue the legacy, citing "Metal Gear Rising Revengeance" as an example.

Apparently, Graham Day does not believe that Hideo Kojima is the life of the "Metal Gear" franchise, pointing out that "Metal Gear is about the story, it's about the characters."

The new title, "Metal Gear Rising," which is currently under a third party developer, is what Day relies on being the successor of the last installment, "The Phantom Pain." He said, "That was an example of a title being taken in a new direction by separate teams with obviously hands-in from other parties, and that was in itself a very, very good game as well," as per Express UK.

Konami also announced as early as March 20 that despite Kojima's pending departure, he will remain part of the "Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain" until such time its developmental stage is finally wrapped up. Konami also released a statement saying "As the next step in the series, Konami has already resolved to develop a new "METAL GEAR" title. We will be conducting auditions for main staffs to lead the development."

Fans can now see that if there are things you need to know about Konami, that is the fact that they will continue the saga of the "Metal Gear Solid V" as well as their continued commitment to AAA games and a lot more to offer on PC and console games.
