Humanity is at risk in the season 2 finale of "The Strain" as Eichorst (Richard Sammel) launches a massive attack of strigois in New York City. However, Setrakian (David Bradley) vows to end their reign no matter the cause, even if it means losing his life to get his hands on the Occido Lumen.

Episode 13 of "The Strain," marks the end of Setrakian's search for the Occido Lumen. A synopsis from TV Guide for the season 2 finale, "Night Train," mentions how Setrakian and Fet (Kevin Durand) will receive support from a surprising source as they go head-to-head on a bidding war with Eichorst over the book.

Getting the Occido Lumen also comes with a heavy price to pay - not just with gold but with one's life. However, Setrakian seems prepared to die just to get the book. The promo teaser below, released for the season 2 finale, reveals how someone doesn't want Fet and Setrakian to get their hands on the Occido Lumen.

While on the road, with Fet behind the wheel, Setrakian says, "We will get the Lumen or we die trying." Seemingly distracted by his words, Fet didn't see the incoming truck as they pass by an intersection. The black truck hits the left side of their vehicle. Thankfully, Fet manages to keep their truck upright despite the strong force of the collision.

"Night Train" will also show Zach (Max Charles), Eph (Corey Stoll) and Nora (Mia Maestro) attempt to leave New York. In episode 12, "Fallen Light," they learn that Zach's grandparents are still alive in Georgia. They are granted three tickets to leave the city for Georgia. However, their escape will not be an easy one as Eichorst has launched a massive attack on strigois in NYC. They would have to fight for their lives first before then can leave the city.

Meanwhile, Kelly (Natalie Brown) is still on the hunt for her son Zach and the promo video teases she finally gets him back from Eph. There's a scene of Eph yelling for Zach and Kelly's smiling face. Then the camera pans to reveal a scared Zach, all alone and armed only with a small knife.

The season 2 finale brings Quinlan (Rupert Penry-Jones) and Eichorst face-to-face for a duel. Setrakian continues to battle the strigois on the street while Fet shoots at them from inside his truck. The promo teaser for "Night Train" showed no hint if humanity would win in their fight against the vampires.
