Well, that was fast. Jared Leto has just shared that, a few days since winning the Academy Award for best supporting actor, he's already nicked his new Oscar.

Leto tells ET Canada, "I was letting some of the people that I work with take a picture with the Oscar and I was carrying it down the stairs and, boom, I hit it against the stairs, the railing and I put a little nick in the back of it... so you know, that's how it goes. It's already lived in, as they say."

When asked where he keeps the shiny gold man in his home, the Oscar winner shares that the Oscar is sitting in his kitchen of all places and is "guarded by some vegan butter and a bag of popcorn!"

The actor winner continues: "You know, they kind of end up in the kitchen because that's the first place that I go when I get home. You put your keys down and you take off your jacket... and you put your Oscar in the kitchen."

Maybe that nick will teach the 43-year-old to keep his precious award in a better, more secure location.

Surprisingly, another tidbit uncovered about the actor who played an HIV-positive transgender woman, Rayon, in 'Dallas Buyers Club' is that even though he took home the Oscar, along with co-star Matthrew McConauhey (Best Actor) he admits that he hasn't seen the film.

Leto also shared during his interview with Ellen DeGeneres Monday, March 3, Jared hasn't watched the film because "it was such an intense role. It's better for me to just leave it alone right now."

The question on everyone's mind is what will Leto do now? Well, that's easy enough to answer.

Leto shares with ET, "It's been a fun week and I couldn't think of a better thing to have happen... after getting an Oscar, than to go on tour with Linkin Park."
