Fantasy Football Week 4: Top 5 Quarterbacks You Should Start
Another exciting NFL weekend is here. Week 4 kicked off with the Baltimore Ravens defeating the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday Night Football. So many more games remain for Fantasy Football player to grab more points and win their leagues. It always goes back to the quarterback.
Here are the top five quarterbacks you should start this week.
1. Aaron Rodgers
Aaron Rodgers has been absolutely flawless this season so far. The defending league MVP has 10 touchdown passes to zero interceptions, and he leads the NFL in passer rating, 135.4. Rodgers and the Green bay Packers will take on the San Francisco 49ers. It will be on the road, but this 49ers defense is nowhere near what it used to be. Rodgers will have his way, as usual. Jordy Nelson may be out for the season, but James Jones is filling that wide receiver void terrifically.
2. Derek Carr
It's weird to see an Oakland Raiders quarterback as a great Fantasy Football option, but Derek Carr is playing great. Carr has an impressive five touchdowns and just one interception through the first three games. Want even more good news? The Raiders take on the Chicago Bears, who have possibly the worst defense in the league. The Bears have allowed, 31, 48 and 26 points against this season. Carr isn't an elite quarterback, but the matchup is just too good to walk away from.
3. Andrew Luck
This is a little risky. Andrew Luck absolutely feasts on AFC South teams. In his young career, Luck is 17-2 against the AFC South, and the Indianapolis Colts will play the Jacksonville Jaguars this weekend. The only issue is that Luck has been very limited in practices this week for the Colts with a shoulder injury, and he remains questionable. If Luck can start, he should be a solid lock against the 1-2 Jaguars, but if he's unable to go, it could ruin your weekend.
4. Russell Wilson
This is an easy one. The Seattle Seahawks will host the 0-3 Detroit Lions with the 12th man behind their backs. The Lions defense is nothing what it used to be when it had Ndamukong Suh and Nick Fairley on the defensive line. Wilson will not just complete safe passes for positive yardage, but he will have a field day running the ball as well. Don't be surprised if Wilson is the leading rusher in this game considering Marshawn Lynch is hurt, and the fact that the Lions don't have any running game to speak of.
5. Cam Newton
Just like Wilson against the Bears, Cam Newton should be able to rack up big points against a bad defense this weekend, especially with his feet. Newton has been protecting the football well this season, and it will be interesting watching him face another No. 1 overall pick in Jameis Winston. Newton may want to show the NFL world he is still the best No. 1 overall drafted quarterback in the NFC South. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers pass defense ranks 21st overall in the NFL.
