Thursday's episode of "Heroes Reborn" managed to answer a couple of questions for viewers, but gave them so many more in the process.

The episode, titled "Under the Mask," introduced a new character, Erica Kravid (Rya Kihlstedt). As the CEO of the company Renautus, she appeared committed to making the world better, but viewers soon realized her intentions may not be as good as they seem. After she presented plans for a new, revolutionary technology to a group of investors in Tokyo, her associate Harris (Clé Bennett) alerted her to an intruder.

The culprit was none other than the katana-wielding Miko (Kiki Sukezane), whose journey through the virtual realm led her to Yamagato Tower. After Miko took out a few guards, the mysterious Harris made short work of the girl. Viewers soon learned that Miko's sword belonged to Hiro Nakamura (Masi Oka), and that her father was an Evo as well.

Before Harris could torture her for information, gamer Ren (Toru Uchikado) arrived to distract him, allowing Miko to slice off her captor's hand before escaping. It was then that the nature of Harris' power was revealed, as he regenerated a full copy of himself from his lost limb.

Meanwhile, Noah (Jack Coleman) took Quentin (Henry Zebrowski) to the nearest hospital to treat a bullet wound. That turned out to be the wrong move, however, as a doctor quickly recognized Noah and alerted security.

Realizing he had been there shortly after the events of June 13, Noah forced a guard to show him the security footage from a year before. On the tape, he noticed that Molly Walker (Francesca Eastwood) was with him, and even more strangely, the time stamp seemed to jump randomly, possibly indicating the presence of Hiro Nakamura as well. Most devastating was his realization that his purpose at the hospital was to view Claire Bennet's dead body.

Noah and Quentin tracked down Molly, who had been taken to a Ranautus facility in Colorado, but the girl refused to be anywhere near Noah. The company plugged Molly into a Cerebro-esque device that allowed them to track and detect Evos across the globe, a power they intended to provide to the rest of the world.

Elsewhere, Luke (Zachary Levi) was having second thoughts about tracking down Evos, as he began to discover he may have powers of his own.

Meanwhile, Carlos (Ryan Guzman) donned his costume and faced off with Evo-hunting cop Captain Dearing (Dylan Bruce of "Orphan Black"), but got pummeled, finding out Dearing himself is an Evo with superhuman strength.

Finally, Tommy's (Robbie Kay) mother seemed to know more than she let on, as she confronted the weird guy with the pennies, who told her he's watching out for Tommy because the world will soon need him.

The show seems to be tackling several plotlines at once, though the connection between them isn't readily apparent. Hopefully, viewers won't have to wait long before everything begins to tie together.
