'X Factor UK 2015' Judge Simon Cowell Apologizes To Contestants, Here's Why
Simon Cowell has apologized to the "X-Factor UK" contestants after swearing on national TV.
The show judge took to his Twitter page to simply admit his fault on behalf of the show after a twist in mentoring tactics propelled him to swear on national TV.
The 55-year-old is known to be quite harsh and direct when it comes to speaking his mind about the contestants' performance on the "X-Factor UK." However, Simon's reaction at having to mentor the elders caught the contestants off-guard.
According to E! News, it started when the fans were given the privilege to choose which among the contestants the four judges on "The X-Factor UK," including Rita Ora, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and Nick Grimshaw, should mentor. Fans reportedly voted Grimshaw for the boys and Rita Ora for the girls. Simon Cowell, on the other hand, was chosen to mentor the elders.
The result apparently surprised the "X-Factor" mogul and did not please him at all. He was caught on TV cursing and questioning the fans' choices. According to Digital Spy, Cowell was furious upon learning that he had to mentor the Overs category.
"For f**ks sake," he exclaimed before going over to hosts Olly Murs and Caroline Flack to check the results himself. "Are you winding me up? Are you sure this is the right name in there? Can I have a look?" Simon asked according to E! News.
Simon may not have been happy with how fans' voted for him to mentor the elders, but the elders were excited upon hearing the result. But the show judge's reaction also left the other contestants slightly disheartened.
According to E! News, one of the elder contestants was overheard saying, "That's really discouraging," while another person was reportedly also caught with his mouth wide open in shock at Simon's outburst.
However, "The X-Factor UK" judge later took to his Twitter page to posts a couple of tweets about his rather insensitive reaction. Simon also apologized for swearing on national TV.
Sorry for swearing on the show tonight. It's not big and it's not clever. Wish Karen Mav had kept a seat.

This is the second time in a successive week that Simon Cowell has gone apologizing for something he's done on television. Last week he also sent his apology to fellow "The X-Factor UK" judge Nick Grimshaw for cutting him off while on a Skype call by closing his laptop.
Cowell told Mirror UK that he has since apologized to Grimshaw through text and said his cutting off Grimshaw was meant to be a joke. He claimed he also didn't know it would be put on the show and expressed how embarrassed he was over the incident.
