It was the Oscars flub heard 'round the world -- it not only spawned countless memes (including an "Adele Dazeem" name generator), but it brought Idina Menzel, once only well known amongst the Broadway crowd, to the forefront! Now, of course, John Travolta is feeling apologetic for it!

According to The New York Daily News, the "Adele Dazeem" flub has earned Menzel a new fanbase, both on-Broadway AND off-Broadway. Forty-three million people viewed Travolta's flub on Oscars night, and Menzel -- like the Broadway show she's starring in -- is wisely using this to their marketing advantage, according to brand manager Karen Post, who was interviewed by the NY Daily News for the piece. "In every situation like that there are opportunities," Post says. "If she jumps on this and knows this is a limited opportunity, she stands to profit. Anytime people are talking about you, it doesn't hurt. [But] it makes [Travolta] look silly, like he can't read."

Of course, there are some rumors that that assertion isn't that far off: in the past, Travolta has admitted to having dyslexia, but claimed that Scientology "cured" him of the learning disability.

Still, according to SMH Australia, Travolta has been feeling badly over the gaffe. "I've been beating myself up all day," he said. "Then I thought... what would Idina Menzel say, She'd say, 'Let it go, let it go!' Idina is incredibly talented and I am so happy Frozen took home two Oscars Sunday night!"

Idina rose to prominence for her performance as Maureen Johnson in the Broadway musical Rent, a role which she reprised for the 2005 feature film adaptation. In 2004, she won the Tony Award for originating the role of Elphaba in the Broadway blockbuster Wicked. In 2014, she will be returning to Broadway in the musical If/Then. Menzel is also known for her portrayal of Shelby Corcoran, the biological mother of Lea Michele's character Rachel Berry, on the Fox musical comedy-drama series Glee, and as the voice of snow queen Elsa in the Disney animated film, Frozen.
