Fans can expect to see a darker and more vengeful side of Nick as he copes with the loss of his mother and girlfriend and battles several new monsters in Portland in Season 5 of "Grimm."

Over the summer, TVGuide.com revealed that a host of new terrors will come to Portland in the new season, including the Loch Ness Monster and gila monsters. However, TVLine recently unveiled that viewers will have to wait until early next year to see the type of spin that "Grimm" will put on the legendary Loch Ness Monster. In reality, some people believe that the mythological giant cattish was first spotted in Scottland's Loch Ness lake decades ago.

According to a synopsis of Season 5, Nick will continue to struggle with Juliette's death as he gets ready to become a father in the upcoming season. His girlfriend was killed in Season 4's shocking finale after Trubel (Jacqueline Toboni) shot her with an arrow in order to save Nick's life. Nick could not find the strength to kill Juliette and save himself, so Trubel stepped in. However, after she was shot, Nick cradled his former lover in his arms as her life slowly began to slip away.

"Season 5 will pick up with Nick (David Giuntoli) coping with the death of his former love Juliette (Bitsie Tulloch) and the return of Agent Chavez (Elizabeth Rodriguez). He also has to deal with being a single father -- yup, Adalind (Claire Coffee) is definitely having Nick's baby," reads the synopsis, reports Zap2It.

In addition, viewers can look forward to seeing "Orange Is the New Black" star Elizabeth Rodriguez reprise her role as an FBI agent.

It has also been revealed that MTV's "Scream" actress Carlson Young has been cast as a guest star in the new season as well.

"Grimm" Season 5 premieres on Friday, Oct. 30, 9 p.m. on NBC.
