BFFs Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez were seen nowhere near each other for a good length of time at the Oscars party, causing rumors of the two allegedly ending their friendship.

However, a source revealed to Hollywood Life that the snub incident was no friendship breaker. According to the gossip outlet's unnamed source, the two simply opted to mingle in different crowds.

"They did interact briefly with pleasantries, but were also separate for most of the night while they were there," Hollywood Life's source narrated.

"There are so many celebrities there, and things happening, that they both were too busy with their own night. They didn't really connect because they were hanging out in their own worlds," the source reasoned out.

"When you mingle at that party, it's hard to bounce around and get involved in other conversations with people you usually hang out with. The Vanity Fair party is all about business and talking to people you usually don't have the chance to mingle with. Selena and Taylor are totally cool with each other, no feud," the same source claims in the Hollywood Life report.

Based on her Instagram account, Selena spent her time cuddled up to Spring Breakers co-star, Vanessa Hudgens at the party. The 'Come and Get It' singer even uploaded a photo of her and her friend, captioning the photo, "@vanessahudgens my only, official party buddy for life ;)"

On the other hand, Harry Styles' ex-GF is seen busily squeezing herself on several snaps in the party photo booth. In the snaps, the 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together' star puts on a wacky face for a shot with Ed Sheeran and two other friends.

Taylor reportedly played match-maker for Sel and 'Mmm Yeah' singer Austin Mahone after the JB split. She also spent time with Sel after the former Disney star cancelled the last leg of her Star Dance Tour for some "me time."
