Will Ryan (Jake McLaughlin) be able to keep up with his promise to Alex (Priyanka Chopra) that he will take the FBI off her back? Or will Alex finally get arrested for something that she's framed for doing. Episode 3 in "Quantico" will somehow answer these questions as Liam finds a way to track down Alex. He turns to her mother for help in bringing her in.

TV Guide has released its synopsis for Episode 3 of "Quantico" titled "Cover." In the present, Liam (Josh Hopkins) is still hard at work with the rest of the FBI agents locating Alex's whereabouts. He is now more convinced than ever that she is a terrorist and responsible for the bomb attack. In Episode 2 titled "America," Ryan had told Alex that he would have to make it look like she's guilty so to keep the FBI's trail away from her. So when Liam arrived at the hospital and asked who shot him, Ryan had put the blame on Alex.

So Liam goes to the one person whom Alex truly loves and trusts her mother. According to TV Guide, Liam would enlist Sita's (Anna Khaja) help in letting Alex turn herself in. He would ask her to participate in a televised press conference to ask her daughter to come clean. Sita would play an important role in the FBI's hunt for Alex Parish.

KSite TV added that Episode 3 of "Quantico" would finally give Alex information about his dead father, who turned out to an FBI agent. In "America" while at Quantico Academy, Alex had asked Liam for help in finding more details about his father's past as an FBI agent.

A promo video for "Cover" has also been released, showing the FBI surrounding a building apartment. Whether this is what Ryan meant by setting off Alex's trail with the authorities is still unknown.

Alex also finally starts to piece together information about her frame-up. In the video below, she is seen talking to Simon (Tate Ellington), who tells her that she's been framed not just a month ago but since the day she entered the FBI academy.

In Episode 2 of "Quantico," Liam and Ryan were listening in to her interview about why she has decided to join the academy. Liam had then asked Ryan to get close to Alex and gain her trust. Alex was to be his target for what purpose is still undetermined.
