The adventures of Indiana Jones aren't over just yet. The fans can't get enough of the iconic archeologist, and Steven Spielberg is just as confident in another "Indiana Jones" film coming in the future.

According to a report from Yahoo! Movies, the award-winning director let news slip of a new "Indy" installment in the works during an interview alongside another Spielberg favorite, Tom Hanks. The two were discussing their work history and the conversation inevitably turned to the director's collaborations with Hanks and Harrison, who have both worked with Spielberg in four projects each.

"We've gotta figure this out because now, Tom is tied with Harrison Ford: Harrison and I did four movies, Tom and I have done four movies," he explained before dropping the bomb on the highly anticipated sequel. "Now I'll probably do an 'Indy 5' with Harrison, [so] it'll be five for Harrison, four for Tom."

Spielberg added, "I've got to make another one with Tom, that'll be five for Tom, five for Harrison. And I think I'm going to leapfrog that way for the rest of my career. With Daniel Day-Lewis in everything else!"

The acclaimed director has worked with a slew of Hollywood's biggest and brightest stars, but "Indiana Jones" stands as one of his most successful franchises. Loyal fans are anticipating the release of another film with Ford and Spielberg's recent comments make it seem that both of them are on board for the next sequel.

Last May, Vanity Fair sat down with Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy, who confirmed plans to stage another "Indiana Jones" movie. According to the executive, a new installment "will one day be made inside this company. When it will happen, I'm not quite sure. We haven't started working on a script yet, but we are talking about it."

Kennedy's statement seemed to contradict with her husband and long-time producer of the franchise Peter Sciretta, who told Slash Film earlier this year that the team has "had no discussions on 'Indy 5' to date."

There were also speculations about another A-list star taking up the helm to replace Ford, particularly Chris Pratt, according to a report from Deadline. The "Guardians of the Galaxy" actor denied the rumors in an interview with MTV News.

The conflicting reports had fans wondering if the film would ever get made. Now that Spielberg has hinted his involvement and Ford's, things are looking up for those who want to see "Indy" go on one last epic run.
