Perrie Edwards' split from Zayn Malik left her very heartbroken. But she reportedly bounced back to the dating scene thereafter and enjoyed romantic dates. It was recently reported that the Little Mix singer had gone out on dates with "Towie" star Joey Essex after Malik ended their engagement.  However, Edwards' representative squashed the report as untrue.

Edwards' representative told Mail Online that she is "not dating Joey." The rep denied a statement coming from Essex's manager Dave Read about the pair having gone out on secret dates.

Read confirmed with Mirror UK that the "Towie" star "exchanged numbers with Perrie Edwards at the Pride of Britain Awards and met up a couple of times." They were reportedly introduced by mutual friends during dinner. Since then they have reportedly been secretly dating.

"It's very early days, but Perrie likes Joey because he makes her laugh. They are just getting to know each other and taking things slowly, but Joey is already smitten," another source told Mirror UK.

Perhaps Essex is smitten because of Edwards'similarities with his previous girlfriends. According to Mail Online, the "Black Magic" singer shows a resemblance to his exes Sam Faiers and Amy Willerton, from "I'm A Celebrity," who reportedly both have blonde hair like Edwards.

However, it's believed the 22-year-old singer is not yet ready for another relationship after her split from Malik. The source claimed "Perrie has just come out of a serious relationship and is enjoying having fun right now."

Edwards is apparently enjoying the single life. She has been seen clubbing and hanging out with friends and her Little Mix pals since Malik broke up with her through text in August. She previously told Mirror UK how she is having an absolute blast" being single.

"I love going out. I'm feeling brilliant and I'm in a good place," she said.

Just last weekend she went clubbing with her fellow Little Mix singer Jade Thirwall and with model Michael Mather and "The X-Factor" winner Marcus Collins at the Steam and Rye nightclub in East London. A photo shared by Collins on his Instagram page shows the group seated closely at a small table, with Mather's hand resting on Edwards' shoulder. As to what they do in nightclubs, Edwards told Mirror UK that they just "have a bit of banter with guys in nightclubs."

"I love it. We just banter with [men] - it's fun," she said.
