Justin Bieber Selena Gomez Back Together: Sel's Mom 'Vehemently' Against Reunion; JB Source of Rehab Stint
It seems Selena Gomez is acting out like a rebellious teenager by going against her parents' wishes and hooking up once again with Justin Bieber. It was previously reported that the two were spotted on a romantic date last Friday and Saturday in Texas. The two were even spotted kissing by the employees of the local establishments they visited.
Recently, a source told Radar Online that Selena's parents are "vehemently" against JB hanging around their daughter. They even believe that he was the reason why Selena ended up in rehab.
"It's definitely against her parents' wishes," the source said, referring to Selena and Justin's relationship. However, Sel's mom and stepdad can't do anything about it because the "Come and Get It" singer doesn't want to listen to them.
The insider continued, "They don't have any control over her. She's pulling the 'Who makes the money around here?' card. It's a sh*t-show behind-the-scenes."
Her parents' disapproval of the Biebs started when Selena reportedly experimented with both illegal and prescription drugs and started partying hard during her on-again, off-again relationship with the pop star.
The insider said, "They wanted to help her - and they very much encouraged her to go to rehab. Others very close to her also urged her to seek professional help."
Selena was admitted to the Dawn at the Meadows on Jan. 5 and spent two weeks in the rehabilitation center. Although the facility focused on helping those with drug and alcohol addictions, a source close to the singer claimed that she also entered the center for emotional reasons.
The insider said, "Selena came to understand just what a bad influence Justin had been on her life. Their relationship left her broken-hearted...I don't know whether Justin pushed her to drug use, but amongst their close knit group of friends, smoking was common place...Justin and Selena would smoke marijuana together regularly."
