The HTC One 2 release date may soon happen and the latest leaks lead to the possibility of an interesting new accessory through the trusted leak source @evleaks.

Twitter user @evleaks recently posted a speculated press image of the upcoming flagship phone of HTC. According to The Verge, it comes with a sexy cover that can offer relevant time and weather information through colorful lights. It can be compared to the modern version of a Lite Brite since it has numerous holes. Its purpose features similar to that of the Yota's E Ink-enabled phone which can let you check pertinent information without having to wake up your smartphone.

@evleaks added that the leaked version will also be available in Google Play edition, similar to the HTC One first generation.

Other HTC One 2 Recent Leaks

It was on Sunday when the Chinese site Weibo released several photos that reveal the suspected next HTC One 2 smartphone or what is also dubbed as the HTC M8, as reported by NowhereElse.fr. It featured its sides, back and front with close ups of its other parts like the camera. It was also compared to the HTC One Max.

The HTC One 2 will feature a similar aluminum case like its predecessor but will most likely come up with a bigger 5-inch HD screen at 1080p, states The Inquirer. In addition, it is will also have the quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor with the 2,900mAh battery. Not to mention the 4.4 KitKat mobile OS and the upgraded version of the custom Sense skin of HTC.

Other specifications mentioned in the rumors stage include the dual cameras, the 4G LTE support, 16GB internal storage, expandable microSD card and maybe even a fingerprint sensor, the same as that of Apple's iPhone 5s and the newly released Samsung Galaxy S5.

HTC One 2 release date is set on March 25 during launch events held in London and New York.
