Microsoft has revealed the file size of "Just Cause 3" for Xbox One.

According to the console's official product page, Xbox One users need to make room for 42.49 GB storage space in order to boot up the third installment in the "Just Cause" series.

The information will prove to be useful for those wanting to pre-load the game ahead of its release later this year.

The large chunk of file size will prove to be worth every penny as the game is expected to be even more massive and action-packed than its predecessors.

The game's fictional Mediterranean island of Medici stretches to roughly 1,000 square kilometers of pure open-world gameplay.

Followers of the previous "Just Cause" games would feel right at home as Square Enix and Avalanche Studios said "Just Cause 3" will stay true to the series but will have some added surprises along the way.

PC Gamer pointed out the game will feature totally random events, smarter AI, and a bunch of challenge modes.

"Just Cause gives you that feeling of being twelve years old. You almost have the mind of an adult. You understand the world. But everyone's taller than you. The moon is bigger. The stars are big. You get into a car and it's big. It's this sense of wonder and learning new things. New smells, new tastes. And games have a unique ability to give us that emotion," said game director Roland Lesterlin.

Aside from its in-game thrills, there is also a launch trailer contest for "Just Cause 3."

Entrants are asked to create a brief video for the game using the online Creative Kit provided by Avalanche.

As per Hardcore Gamer, footage should be around two minutes long and must capture the game's "action, energy and atmosphere."

The entries will be judged based on three categories: Best Action, Best Use of Audio and Best Humor. The Best Overall Winner will be rewarded with a $5,000 prize package inclusive of an Intel Core i7 gaming rig and a UHD monitor. Sure enough, the winning entry will automatically become the official "Just Cause 3" Launch Trailer.

"Just Cause 3 is a game designed with streamers and content creators in mind; a true sandbox built to be explored and played creatively. To that end, it felt right to offer our fans the opportunity to create our launch trailer... we're really excited to see what they come up with," said Square Enix marketing director Jon Brooke.

"Just Cause 3" will be available for Xbox One, PS4 and Windows starting on Dec. 1, 2015.
