There will be lots of excitement in this Sunday's all-new episode of "The Good Wife," as Alicia Florrick (Julianna Margulies) and her mother team up to appear on a cooking show, while Eli Gold (Alan Cumming) and Ruth Eastman (Margo Martindale) continue to bump heads.

New spoilers about the upcoming episode, which is aptly titled "Cooked," reveal that Stockard Channing will reprise her role as Alicia's mother Veronica. The mother and daughter duo will agree to take part in a cooking show in order to help promote Peter Florrick's presidential campaign. However, viewers can expect something to go drastically wrong in the cooking competition.

Meanwhile, the episode synopsis teases that Alicia and Lucca Quinn (Cush Jumbo) will take on a difficult case involving a drug dealer.

"Alicia and Lucca work together on a complicated court case involving a designer drug dealer. Also, Eli encourages Alicia and Veronica to participate in a mother/daughter cooking show to help Peter's campaign, with disastrous results," reads the synopsis, according to CarterMatt.

A sneak peek video hints that Howard's (Jerry Adler) position at Lockhart, Agos, and Lee may be in jeopardy due to his lazy disposition. In the clip, Howard tries to convince Alicia to help him file an ageism lawsuit against the firm, since he believes that his associates are trying to push him out. However, in response, Alicia frankly tells him that if he wants to keep his cushy job, then he needs to step up to the plate at the firm.

"My guess is they're pushing you out because of performance," she says bluntly. "You don't do anything, Howard."

She then proceeds to offer Howard some "free" advice, telling him, "Work. Harder." She added that he needs to "bring more money to the firm and they won't have a rationale to fire you."

In the meantime, it looks like Eli has finally met his match in Ruth. Ever since Peter gave Eli's campaign position to Ruth, Eli has been determined to regain his clout, and he has been reassigned as Alicia's chief of staff. In an exclusive sneak peek, Ruth presents Eli with a look at his tiny new office. She also tells him to convince Alicia and Veronica to appear on the cooking show.

It has also been reported that actress Mary Beth Peil will return as Jackie Florrick.

Episode 3 of Season 7 of "The Good Wife," "Cooked," airs on Sunday, Oct. 18 at 9 p.m. ET on CBS.
