'The Big Bang Theory' Season 9 Episode 5 Spoilers: Sheldon's Coworker Tries to Date Amy in 'The Perspiration Implementation' [Video]
Things may get ugly when Sheldon's (Jim Parsons) coworker shows interest in his ex-girlfriend, Amy (Mayim Bialik), in Monday's all-new episode of The Big Bang Theory."
Unfortunately for "Shamy" fans, it doesn't look like Sheldon and Amy will be getting back together anytime soon. Instead of making necessary changes that would help him win Amy back, Sheldon appears to be stuck in his ways and has managed to make their relationship worst. However, although they're not officially together, that won't stop him from preventing another guy from hooking up with Amy.
In the upcoming episode, entitled "The Perspiration Implementation," Sheldon's coworker Barry Kripke played by John Ross Bowie, is going to try and figure out if it is possible for him to start to date Amy. As a result, this will likely put the two at odds.
According to CarterMatt, the synopsis below reads as follows:
"The guys take a fencing lesson from Barry Kripke and Sheldon finds himself in an awkward position when Kripke expresses interest in Amy. Also, when Stuart struggles to get female customers at the Comic Book Store, Penny, Amy and Bernadette come by to help him out."
It was also revealed that the long-running CBS comedy has recruited Laura Spencer as a series regular, reports TVLine. Spencer was first introduced on the show in Season 7 as Emily Sweeney, who is now Raj's (Kunal Nayyar) girlfriend.
According to a Big Bang source, the "Pride and Prejudice, The Lizzie Bennet Diaries" star will be a fractional series regular in the current season. This means that the actress will not appear in every episode, and will instead be featured on the show on an as-needed basis.
Season 9 Episode 5, "The Perspiration Implementation," will premiere on Monday, Oct. 19 on CBS.
