Despite the dangerous side effects that will likely occur, Laurel Lance will try to resurrect her sister Sara through the Lazarus Pit in the next episode of "Arrow."

Laurel learned more about the Lazarus Pit and the mysterious land of Nanda Parbat in the last episode of "Arrow" after she figured out exactly how Oliver was able to bring his sister, Thea, back to life. It was at that point that she realized that she could also use the Lazarus Pit to resurrect her own sister.

However, in next week's episode, she will quickly discover that the process of bringing someone back to life is not as easy as she expects, especially since Malcolm Merlyn is now in charge of the League of Assassins. Plus, Nyssa will be very reluctant to the idea of reviving Sara since it is likely that she will come back as a completely different person, which is what happened to Thea.

According to CarterMatt, the synopsis for the episode, which is entitled "Restoration," reads as follows:

The growing tension between Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Diggle (David Ramsey) puts both their lives at risk when they go after Damien Darhk (guest star Neal McDonough) and a H.I.V.E. deployed meta-human. Meanwhile, Laurel (Katie Cassidy) talks Thea (Willa Holland) into returning to Nanda Parbat to ask her father (John Barrowman) to put Sara (guest star Caity Lotz) into the Lazarus Pit. However, Laurel is surprised when Nyssa (guest star Katrina Law) refuses to do it."

Executive producer Wendy Mericle also teased that the show will address how the residents of Star City will cope with constantly being under siege.

"We really lean into it in the beginning of Season 4. The reality of a city that has essentially been struck by three terrorist attacks, and what does that look like? What does that actually do to the population of the people who live there? People are leaving and that's really where we start Season 4," she said, according to Cinema Blend.

"Arrow" Season 4 Episode 3 will air on Oct. 21.
