We can expect plenty of improvements when the time comes for Apple to roll out the new iOS 8 operating system, but rumors from 9to5Mac indicate that the one area the tech giant will focus heavily on for improvements is navigation.

When it comes to maps and navigation, many users have complained about inaccuracies, slow loading times, and perhaps most importantly poor GPS systems. On top of all of this, it is difficult to manage battery power while using these applications; when you are on the go, you will probably find that your iPhone battery dips significantly after a short walking trip on Google Maps.

This could all change, but what makes it even more important than ever is the battery issue that is embedded within the complaints about maps on iOS 7. The latest operating system has been notoriously disappointing when it comes to battery life and we'll have to expect Apple to improve on this with iOS 8.

According to Fox News, we should expect to see the introduction of iOS 8 during the summer. At this point we will likely find out a great deal of information from people who start the beta testing prior to the overall release date.

It will be particularly interesting to see whether or not the iOS 8 Jailbreak will be a possibility for the Evad3rs hacking group that has found a way to crack the code through the last several operating systems. With this being said, Apple has cracked down on security with each release and the jailbreakers' most recent obstacle came this week when Apple released the iOS 7.1 operating system.
