When comedienne Tina Fey and controversial star Lindsay Lohan met as guests on the first "Tonight Show" of Jimmy Fallon, the idea of "Mean Girls 2 The Reunion" became one of the hottest upcoming movies to watch out for. However, Tina Fey recently denied the possibility of the sequel.

The 43-year-old funny actress who also was the writer of the original movie has denied all rumors revolving around the "Mean Girls" film sequel. The rumors were triggered when LiLo stated that she was approached by Fey and that a project may be in the works, Irish Examiner states.

However, it was perfectly cleared up by the former "Saturday Night Live" cast that there is not a sequel in the works, but instead a project that will pay tribute to the movie's 10th year anniversary.

"There's definitely not a movie. It's just the anniversary is coming up, so everybody get your pink shirts. It's been 10 years. You can tell when you look at me it's been 10 years," Fey shared with Access Hollywood.

Fey is also looking forward to potentially spend some kind of forum or panel discussion with the rest of the cast in the likings of Rachel Adams, Lacey Chabert and Amanda Seyfried. "But it's not like - it's not another movie. At most it would be like a panel discussion with a plate of hot wings," she added.

During the Hollywood premiere of "Muppets Most Wanted" where Tina Fey is also a part of, the comical celebrity gushed about working on a musical for the "Mean Girls" reunion which may happen in the next couple of years. She mentioned how a "Mean Girls" musical can be as great as the reunion, states E!Online.

Lohan's revelation, on the other hand, included how she saw Tina and that the comedienne is already talking to the "big boss" about the project. It was just last month when LiLo also shared a "Mean Girls" reunion photo with Rajiv Surendra and Daniel Franzese over Instagram.
