AT&T recently announced that it will be carrying a new phablet, namely, the LG G Vista 2. No official release date has been announced yet.

However, folks from Android Community are hoping that the phablet will be made just before the holidays so it would already be on the market even before the rumored arrival of the LG G5. This will allow AT&T and the South Korean tech giant to have more time and focus on marketing the LG G Vista 2, the report noted.

The LG G Vista 2 is the follow up to 2014's Vista phablet released by LG in August of 2014. Though the new device still has the same dimensions as well as the same screen size -- a 5.7-inch display, one of the updated features of the LG G Vista 2 is its 1080p resolution, from the 720p of the first model.

Engadget also noted that the LG phablet will have an eight-core processor. Name and details have not been announced yet but the report said that it will most likely be the Snapdragon 615, an upgrade from LG G Vista's Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor.

Moreover, the processor will work together with 2 GB of RAM. This gives users more memory, allowing the phablet to work smoothly with more tasks.

The LG G Vista 2 also comes with a stylus. This makes it a competition for Samsung's Galaxy Note 5, which was released August of this year.

As for the camera specs, the primary will be equipped with a 13MP lens with laser auto focus, according to Phone Arena. Moreover, the device is said to feature a manual camera mode.

Meanwhile, its front-facing camera will sport a 5MP sensor. LG fans can also expect a 1 W speaker from the upcoming phablet.

As for storage, the LG G Vista 2 is expected to have 16GB internal memory with expandable options. Out of the box, it will run the Android Lollipop, but the Phone Arena reported that it will receive the latest Android update, the 6.0 Marshmallow, in the future.

AT&T has not specifically revealed the release date for the LG G Vista 2, as well as details of the price. However, the network carrier noted that the device will be available for a "revolutionary" price.

Is this a hint from AT&T that a much cheaper price will be offered for the second-generation model over the original LG G Vista?
