Shakira Weight and Measurement Loss: 'Can't Remember to Forget You' Singer Defines Being Sexy, Reveals Her Workout Secrets
Shakira is on the cover of Women's Health magazine's April issue, in which she defines what being sexy really means and reveals her workout secrets to maintaining her flawless body.
According to the "Can't Remember to Forget You" singer, being sexy is what comes from within. "I never thought that someone would ask me, 'how do you manage to be irresistibly sexy.' I laugh because I don't see myself that way at all," she said. "I know some people do, but it's not my fault."
"I think it's a state of mind. If you're in peace. If you're happy where you are in life, I think you project that and that's sexy," Shakira continued. "I think there's nothing sexier than a smile -- a genuine smile. Spontaneity, being yourself, and not trying too hard, I think that's sexy."
The sexy cover features the Colombian beauty only in a pink T-shirt and black underwear, as she flaunts her toned abs and lean legs. Shakira revealed how she got her figure back after giving birth to son Milan. "I try to eat healthy and I try to exercise," she said. "Not only going to the gym, because sometimes I do get tired of working out, the gym, the treadmill, the stuff that all women dread.
"So I recently decided to just do sports, because they're so much fun and they accomplish the same purpose, which is ultimately to keep you fit," she continued. "So I planned a whole daily routine of roller skating, playing basketball, and playing tennis, and swimming. So every day I would do something different and that seemed to put me back in shape.
"Because I didn't have a maternity leave. After I delivered my baby, I had to come to Los Angeles to do 'The Voice.' I only had two months with my baby, he was only two months old and he was already flying more than a pilot -- so many miles. So I didn't really have time to get back to my old self and train properly," she added. "But now, after season 4, I ran home and started doing more sports and tried to get myself back in shape. Variety is so important. Keep it new, keep it fresh."
