As One Direction band member Louis Tomlinson waits for his baby's arrival with 23-year-old Briana Jungwirth, rumors claim that the famous British singer has already chosen the godfather of their baby and that is none other than "X Factor U.K. 2015" judge Simon Cowell.

Although rumors have yet to be confirmed, an insider from Hollywood Life claims that it is 100 percent final that Cowell, the one that formed One Direction and gave Tomlinson the brightest future ahead, will be the godfather for Tomlinson's baby with Jungwirth.

"Louis has made his decision and it's 100% Simon. He wants Simon to be his child's godfather. Simon has had such an influence on him and he says Simon is a brilliant person and a brilliant father," the insider told Hollywood Life.

"He would be so honored to have Simon as his baby's godfather. Simon has been so supportive of Louis ever since the news broke of the baby. He has made it clear that he is there for Louis if he has any questions or concerns about fatherhood," the source added.

Fatherhood is a tough role, and, being a father himself, Cowell recently also gave Tomlinson some parenting advice as he waits for his first baby.

"I just said enjoy it. If I had been his age and someone had said you're going to have a baby, I'm not sure how I would have coped with it but he did call me and I said when you've embraced it you'll be amazed how much you are going to love it and it will change your life for the better. And that's it," Cowell said of the 23-year-old expectant father as quoted by The Hamilton Spectator.

The famous "X Factor" judge further explained the realities of fatherhood as he himself had a hard time in the initial stages upon the arrival of Eric, his son born 20 months ago with partner Lauren Silverman.

"When he was about five or six [months old] I was like.... I just don't know what to do! Because he wasn't reacting to me and I thought maybe he hates me. And they said, 'No, take your time', because once he gets a bit older. And then suddenly one day they are talking, listening, responding, communicating, whole different ball game, and also they sort of become a bit like you, which I don't know is a good thing or a bad thing!" Cowell added.

Tomlinson and Jungwirth's baby is reportedly due on January 2016 as previously reported by Bustle.
