‘Rainbow Six Siege’ Trailer: Ubisoft Unveils New Teaser Video, Single-Player Missions Revealed [Watch]
When "Rainbow Six Siege" comes out over a month from now, players will be able to experience the multi-player action of the renowned shooter game. For now, the fans can take a peek at the latest trailer and check out the single-player missions that Ubisoft will offer in-game.
The newest minute-long trailer of the Ubisoft game showcases the different tactical situations that players can look forward to encountering when they embark on the journey. The crises have the Rainbow team hopping all over the globe, from a hostage situation in Courchevel, France to a terrorist attack in Hamburg, Germany to a bomb disarming in Los Angeles, Calif.
Fast-paced action and vivid visuals characterize the upcoming shooter game, but the next step in the franchise's history will also be known for its snappy multiplayer gaming experience. Ubisoft has previously revealed that the game will be focused on multiplayer gameplay, scrapping the story mode for the upcoming "Rainbow Six Siege."
"The creative vision for 'Rainbow Six Siege' has always been strongly focused on a compelling cooperative and multiplayer experience," the company explained in a report from Cinema Blend. "The game supports solo play when playing Terrorist Hunt offline & online and we will provide further details on single-player content in the near future."
Now, more information has been divulged about the solo play in the much-anticipated Ubisoft shooter. According to a report from IGN, there are several single-player missions that offer the option of playing alone to fans who prefer to work in solitude. The missions are called Situations and there are 11 in total, five of which IGN was able to try out.
Among the Situations available in the "Rainbow Six Siege" are "Tubular Assault" where the players need to flush out terrorists out of a VIP airplane, "Cold Zero" which places the sniper player in a hostage crisis, "Neutralize Cell" where terrorists plant rigged bombs around a fortified building, "Kapkan" that's a defensive challenge where players are tasked to protect hostages and "Heavily Fortified" where the player is on a mission to save a hostage.
This available alternative for a full story campaign makes sure no player will be isolated from the "Rainbow Six Siege" experience. Ubisoft also assured the community that the new game will be supported for a while.
"Our vision was not a game that you'd play through and "beat," but something you'd come back to time and again and grow with," community developer Chase Straight stated in the PlayStation Blog. "In order to do that, we will be heavily supporting the game for at least one year with regular balancing and tweaks. New maps will be free for everyone, and we'll be releasing the full details of our post-launch support soon on the Rainbow Six dev blog."
"Rainbow Six Siege" for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC will be released on Dec. 1.
