'The Good Wife' Season 7 Episode 4 Spoilers: Alicia Defends a Woman Accused of Shoplifting in 'Taxed' [Videos]
The next episode of "The Good Wife" will be intense and dramatic as Alicia (Julianna Margulies) will defend a client who refuses to plead guilty to theft.
In the last episode, "Cooked," Alicia Florrick's appearance on a cooking show with her mother, Veronica, almost went up in flames after her mother showed up to the set drunk and began talking about her past. It was also discovered that Alicia's client, a man named Roland Halvin who was arrested for manufacturing GHB with intent to sell, was really an undercover FBI agent plotting to expose the truth about a corrupt judge. However, the FBI's investigation bombed after the judge found out about the plan thru Eli (Alan Cumming).
A preview of the new episode, titled "Taxed," shows that Alicia will fight for an African American woman who appears to be facing blackmail.
Meanwhile, in a sneak peek video, Diane (Christine Baranski) is seen being coerced to argue in court against her personal beliefs in order to help her firm win a case involving physician assisted suicide. Actor Peter Gallagher will make a guest appearance in the recurring role of attorney Ethan Carver.
Another sneak peek shows Alicia still getting accumulated to working in bond's court.
A third teaser video shows Alicia working late night with her newly hired investigator Jason Crouse, played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan.
The fourth video clip shows that Peter's new campaign manager, Ruth Eastman (Margo Martindale), will rub his mother the wrong way.
According to CarterMatt, the synopsis for the next episode reads as follows:
"Alicia clashes with the bond court judge when she agrees to support a client's plea of innocence in a shoplifting case. Also, Diane is coerced by her client's counsel, Ethan Carver (Peter Gallagher), to argue against her own beliefs in a case about physician assisted suicide."
Episode 3 of Season 7 of "The Good Wife," "Taxed," airs on Sunday, Oct. 25 at 9 p.m. ET on CBS.
