Samsung Galaxy Note 5 gets a new Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update. Reports revealed that it improves battery performance and Call stability.

According to GSM Arena, Samsung's latest phablet has recently received the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop firmware. Reportedly, it is available via OTA or Over-the-Air update.

In addition, users noted that the firmware package with build number N920IDVU2AOJ4 is currently seeding in Singapore. It is available for all CSC codes such as SIN, STH, XSP and MM1, the report from GSM Arena further noted.

The Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update for Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is 144.2 MB-heavy. The changelog as listed on XDA Forum revealed that one of the improvements to find in this firmware update is the battery performance.

Moreover, fans can also expect enhancement to call stability as well as in the phone's security. The GSM Arena post noted that users are reporting that the new Android 5.1.1 update for Samsung Galaxy Note 5 comes with a KNOX update.

It also blows an eFUse, according to reports. Because of this, those who will decide to update their Samsung phablet to Android 5.1.1 will not be able to downgrade their firmware once the software update is completed.

Samsung Galaxy Note 5 became available in the market starting August 2015. As for its specs, it comes with the S Pen Stylus. It also has a Paypal-certified fingerprint sensor.

The 5.7-inch screen Samsung phablet is equipped with the Super AMOLED capacitive touch screen, according to the full specs list on a separate post from GSM Arena. It offers a 1440p x 2560p display screen resolution.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 has a 518-pixel density. Moreover, its screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4.

As for the internal hardware, users can expect an Exynos 7420 chipset in the phone paired with two Quad-core processors. One is the Cortex 153 with a clockspeed set at 1.5 GHz and the other one is the Cortex A57 set at 2.1 Ghz.

The graphic processor is a Mali-T760MP8 chipset. Meanwhile, the phone features a 4GB RAM and has two internal storage options. One can get the 32GB variant or the 64 GB version, but unfortunately, a memory slot for storage expansion is not available.

Samsung Galaxy Note 5's primary camera boasts of a 16 MP sensor and can produce photos with resolution as high as 5312p x 2988p. Some of the features of the camera are autofocus, LED flash and optical image stabilization.

The secondary camera is packed with 5 MP lens. As for the video, the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is capable of dual-video recording.
