Doors are temporarily closed for the visitors of ex-NBA player Lamar Odom as he recovers from multiple surgeries that he had underwent, particularly for the restoration of either his lungs' or heart's function.

According to an E! News tipster, the former Laker had been under at least one surgery today and that "the doctors at Cedars have asked for no visitors" until he recovers. The measure has been given to maintain a calm environment for Odom while he deals with his physical condition. Only his wife, "Keeping Up With The Kardashian" star Khloe Kardashian, is allowed to stay by the baller's bedside to attend to his needs.

It was also reported that Odom's condition not only affected his physicality, it has also taken a toll on the baller's mentality. A TMZ source reveals that the NBA Sixth Man Of The Year is in a "very fragile" condition and have said that Odom has been very emotional and upset lately.  

The two emergency surgeries were rumored to be because of pneumonia, as what a People source have revealed, and said that "the infection, that is being aggressively treated with strong intravenous antibiotics, is unfortunately not getting better. There are many concerns about his health."

The player's road to recovery is also reckoned to still be far along as his kidneys were also seen to be very weak. In a previous Latin Post report, the 35-year-old baller is said to be a candidate of kidney transplant because the organs have been continuously malfunctioning and his dialysis treatments would not be a better option to help him recover.

While Odom is seen to face more surgeries ahead of him in order to regain his strength, on a positive note, his speech was said to be improving a week after he had multiple strokes which resulted from binging on pills and alcohol.

According to Huffington Post, Odom's aunt, JaNean Mercer, has said that his "use of speech has increased and he's more cognitively responsive."

It has been a tough week for both Odom and his wife, Kardashian, after the player has been found unconscious in a brothel. Within a matter of days, a lot has happened between the previously separated couple. Just last Tuesday, Odom and Kardashian were still estranged until Odom had been in a coma. But as the days unfold, Odom was miraculously awakened from his near-death condition and because of it, the couple decided to call off their divorce just yesterday. At this rate, more are expected to happen for the couple until Odom finally recovers.
