‘Just Cause 3’ Goes Gold, 360-Degree Video of Wingsuit Ride Released [Watch]
Thrills and skills are on the horizon with the upcoming "Just Cause 3." Now marked gold, the open world action-adventure game is set to make a statement starting with a new trailer that shows off the exciting stunts and stunning panoramic view that can be enjoyed in-game.
CEO of developer company Avalanche Studios Christopher Sundberg made the announcement excitedly over social media.
"#JustCause3 is..... GOLD today!!" Sundberg wrote on his Twitter account. "Awesome work to our team taking this creation of ours and have evolved it with excellence! #RicoWasHere"
The company marked the milestone ahead of its December release date, but another treat was unveiled for the fans who want a glimpse of the game's non-stop action and vivid environment.
The "Just Cause" team posted a new video on YouTube that showed the game's protagonist Rico Rodriguez embarking on a wingsuit ride over the world of Medici. The two-minute video was taken from the "Wingsuit Experience" application that's recently released for both iOS and Android devices.
It's a teaser that should get the blood pumping ahead of the game launch, but Avalanche Studios may have even more surprises in store down the line.
According to an online listing on Steam, new downloadable content is available instantly with the "Air, Land and Sea Expansion Pass." The pass costs $25 dollars and will include three entire DLC packs as well as an exclusive flame wingsuit and parachute skins.
"It's never over for Rico Rodriguez; explore Medici with 3 new game-changing explosive experiences including new action-packed missions, new enemy types, weapons, gadgets and unique vehicles that transform the Just Cause 3 world," the Steam description read. "The 3 add on packs will become available post launch and will unlock 7 days early for all pass holders. The skins will unlock day one."
New content is always something to look forward to and Sundberg even hinted at the possibility of multi-player gaming someday.
When asked about "Just Cause 2" multiplayer mode, Sundler told the Game Informer that it was "absolutely fantastic." He reiterated their focus on single-player missions, saying, "We don't expect the fans to make the multiplayer for Just Cause 3, but at some point you have to make a choice on where your focus is. Our strength is the sandbox experience, and we want to deliver a great Just Cause 3 experience."
He added, "Maybe sometime down the line, we'll take Rico into the modern world of multiplaying."
"Just Cause 3" for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC is slated for a holiday release on Dec. 1, 2015.
