Nuketown is one of the most popular multiplayer maps in the "Call of Duty" franchise. Naturally, Treyarch's upcoming first-person video game won't be the same without it. The map will return in "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" and will be called Nuk3town.

Now, it has a dedicated DLC that fans can get if they pre-purchase the game at GameStop.

The exclusive Nuk3town-themed character customization pack carries the following perks:

  • A Nuk3town themed weapon camo
  • Three Nuk3town themed weapon reticles
  • A Nuk3town themed calling card

The pack also includes a Nuk3town multiplayer map, but it won't be a GameStop-exclusive as other retailers and e-commerce sites offer it as well.

Nuketown debut in the original "Black Ops" game from 2010 and again in 2012's "Black Ops 2," where it was called Nuketown 2025. That same year, the map also appeared in PS Vita's "Black Ops: Declassified" as Nukehouse.

"Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" will be available across all gaming platforms starting on Nov. 6. However, the new Nuk3town map will only be featured in the game's PS4, Xbox One and PC versions.

That's not the only difference between the game's current and last generation versions. "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" runs at 30fps for PS3 and Xbox 360 as compared to 60fps for PS4 and Xbox One. Older console versions also don't include single-player campaign mode.

Activision, the game's publisher, stated on the official "Call of Duty" website that developers simply could not replicate the game's "truly next-generation experience" for older consoles.

"The Black Ops 3 PS3 and Xbox 360 versions will feature Multiplayer and Zombies gameplay only, not Campaign. The ambitious scope of the 1-4 player coop Campaign design of the PS4, Xbox One and PC versions could not be faithfully recreated on old generation hardware," the statement read.

Other features that won't be making their way to older consoles are "Weapon Paint Shop," which lets gamers make high-quality customizations to their character's weapons, and some "eSports features.

Fortunately, "Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3" for older consoles will cost cheaper than its newer generation counterparts. It's only priced at $50 dollars for PS3 and Xbox 360 compared to $60 for PS4 and Xbox One.

On that note, gamers can now pre-purchase a "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" PS4 Limited Edition Bundle at BestBuy and Amazon for $430. The bundle contains an ember orange and jet black PS4 console with 1TB hard drive, DualShock 4 gamepad and Nuke3town multiplayer map.
