Shawn Mendes Announces Rerelease of Album 'Handwritten'
Singer Shawn Mendes announced on Thursday that he will be rereleasing his debut album "Handwritten" as a thank you to his supportive fans.
Mendes shared the news on his Instagram account with a photo of the release cover, which is very similar to the original cover, along with a note to his fans with details of the release.
"As a thank you for all of your support this year, I'm rereleasing a brand new re-released version of Handwritten on Nov. 20 that has 16 tracks, including 4 new songs & 5 live versions of songs from the original album. Preorder now & you can get a DVD & poster from The Greek Show plus presale tickets to my upcoming @ Radio City," Mendes wrote.
While talking to MTV about touring for his debut album, the Canadian star revealed that he had new music coming up for his fans.
"I'm so excited to be able to share new songs on 'Handwritten Revisited,' both as a thank you to my fans and also to show my progression over the last year," Mendes said. "I wrote all of the new songs over the past few months on the road, and they really speak to where I am right now as a songwriter. I've already performed a few of them live, like 'Act Like You Love Me' and 'Memories,' and can't wait until people can hear the recordings of those finally."
Fans can expect two new songs titled "Act Like You Love Me" and "Memories," as well as two other, unknown songs. As for live versions of familiar songs, fans can expect "Kid in Love," "I Don't Even Know Your Name," "Strings," "Aftertaste" and "A Little Too Much."
On the same day that Mendes made that announcement, he also made an appearance at Radio City Music Hall for a surprise performance.
