Lamar Odom could face criminal charges after officially testing positive for cocaine.

TMZ reports the Nye County Sheriff's Department has received the results from blood tests administered on the former NBA All-Star, after he was rushed to a Las Vegas hospital earlier this month upon being found unresponsive at a local brothel with blood dripping from his nose and mouth.

Sheriff Sharon Wehrly previously told the website it was "distinctly possible" Odom would be prosecuted if it was determined he had taken any illegal substances. Workers at the Love Ranch establishment had already told investigators they witnessed Odom doing drugs and ingesting at least 10 herbal supplement tablets while he was residing at the brothel.

Odom has since been transferred to a hospital in Los Angeles, where once-estranged wife Khloé Kardashian has remained by his side around the clock. The two have also officially called off their divorce, and Kardashian has ended her romance with current NBA star James Harden.

On Monday, several media outlets reported Kardashian already warned Odom that if she ever found him doing drugs again, she would walk away forever.

Reports are Odom will need at least six months of rehabilitation, and his path to full recovery will likely be difficult.

"Obviously there is a lot of attention about all this but the thing to remember is that there is a long road ahead to rehabilitation," said Jim Harrick, Odom's former collegiate coach at the University of Rhode Island. "This is serious stuff. It could be six months or more for rehab and all that. We don't know what state his kidneys and lungs are going to be in."

The 35-year-old Odom was dubbed the NBA's Sixth Man of the Year in 2011, and over his career, won two titles with the LA Lakers alongside Kobe Bryant.
