Scoot McNairy may have revealed small details about his upcoming role in Zack Snyder's new film "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice."

During an interview with Cinema Blend promoting his new film "Our Brand Is Crisis," McNairy stated that that the character "lends itself to the story being told." He also noted that the he will not be back for another film as he did not sign a multi-picture deal.

From the looks of it McNairy's character will likely die or be part of a flashback in the film. From the evidence in the trailer for the film, Snyder will be playing Batman's origin story so it can be inferred that McNairy will likely play a character who winds up playing a significant role in the past lives of one of the movie's central figures.

So which of the main characters will McNairy be involved with? Will it Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman or Lex Luthor? That is something that fans will have to wait on until March when the film is finally released.

McNairy has been one of the most praised actors in recent years as he has starred in a number of high-profile films including "Gone Girl," "12 Years a Slave," "Argo," "The Rover," "Black Sea" and "Frank."

"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" is slated to star Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Diane Lane, Gal Gadot, Jesse Eisenberg, Jeremy Irons, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Jason Momoa, Laurence Fishburne, Holly Hunter and Ezra Miller.

The film was written by Oscar winner Chris Terrio and David S. Goyer. Warner Bros. hopes the new film will be the start of a DC world film series and will be as profitable as the Avengers.

The movie is scheduled for March 25, 2016.
