The Boston Red Sox finished the season at 78-84, improving seven games from their 2014 record and from being last place in the AL East standings. According to CBS Sports, the Red Sox front office, headed by president of Baseball Operations Dave Dombrowski and general manager Mike Hazen, are willing to trade away a few of their top prospects for starting ace.

The report noted that Boston has an urgency to win next season, following two straight losing seasons after winning the World Series in 2013. Dombrowski has the option of signing big name free agent aces this summer as the Red Sox has the financial capability to hand out huge contracts.

Zack Greinke, Jordan Zimmerman, David Price and Johnny Cueto headline the list of starting pitchers on the market, per Spotrac. Boston can also target possible trade candidates like Sonny Gray of the Oakland Athletics and Matt Harvey of the New York Mets.

The loaded minor league system of the Red Sox include second baseman Yoan Moncada, third basemen Rafael Devers and Michael Chavis, outfielders Manuel Margot and Andrew Benintendi, left-handed pitcher Brian Johnson, right-handed pitchers Michael Kopech and Anderson Espinoza and shortstops Javier Guerra and Deven Marrero, per MLB.com.

They could also dangle young players like catcher Blake Swihart, shortstop Xander Bogaerts, outfielders Mookie Betts, Jackie Bradley and Rusney Castillo as well as left-handed pitcher Henry Owens. CBS Sports added that the Red Sox are willing to listen to all offers for their prospects with the exception of Moncada, Benintendi and Espinoza.

Let's take a closer look at the trio via their MLB Scouting Report and see why the Boston do not want to part ways with them.

Yoan Moncada, 2B

He is described as the best prospect from Cuba since Jorge Soler. The Red Sox paid a total of $63 million for his services. The 20-year-old is a switch-hitter that can hit for power in both sides in above-average speed.

Andrew Benintendi, OF

Benintendi is described as a great athlete with the best all-around tools in the farm system of the Red Sox. He is a left-handed hitter with a quick stroke and power potential. The 21-year-old also has patience at the plate and speed to be a base-stealing threat.

Anderson Espinoza, RHP

The Venezuelan has a small stature, but he already has three pitches on his repertoire. He has a fastball that can reach the upper 90s, a curveball and a sinker. Espinoza has a good delivery and throws strikes consistently for a 17-year-old.

There are no additional reports on who the Red Sox will be targeting, but they are going to be active during the Winter Meetings this offseason, as reported by MLB Daily Dish.
