Using AirBNB to rent out your house, condo or apartment has always been a convenient practice. Basically, you just log onto the site and create a profile and room listing. Then you can rent out the room to any number of interested parties. However, in Ari Teman's case he unknowingly rented out his Chelsea apartment to a bunch of partiers, instead of selecting a sweet tourist couple partial to wearing fanny packs.

The comedian rented out his apartment several hours earlier to what seemed to be an upstanding gentleman named David. Supposedly in town for a good friend's wedding, David needed a place to crash. In hindsight, Teman should have immediately googled David's name and number just to double check that his renter was on the up and up.

That Google search would have likely prevented the whole shebang because it revealed that David was really the host of $20 a pop orgies. Teman's apartment was really being used as a place to hold the "BBW Panty Raid Party." How nice.

Teman was at least lucky that he didn't leave town immediately after handing over his keys to David. After grabbing a bite to eat, he returned home to retrieve his belonging before being scheduled to depart on a trip. Upon his return, Teman witnessed a lot of antics.

"There was a huge posse of large men and women in hip-hop attire looking like they got tossed from a club, hanging out in front," Teman said.

"My first impression was that I had been robbed by a very large crew," he added.

What exactly were these partygoers up to? They were having an all-out orgy, of course. Those in attendance co-opted Teman's furniture for a little "R&R." Just kidding... it was definitely used for nefarious purposes.

"I caught them taking my white sofa out into the backyard alley," Teman said.

He's lucky that the sofa was white. If it was any other color some stains would be super noticeable.

"You assume most people have basic human decency and won't destroy your stuff."

The understandably upset Teman took to Twitter to voice his frustration with the whole incident.

"Aside from the illegal orgy destroying my apartment, it was a lovely weekend. #NewNYCslogan"

Perhaps he's just jealous that he didn't get to participate?

But in all seriousness, Teman has every right to be upset. Luckily, AirBNB is helping Teman get back on his feet. AirBNB says that "problems for hosts and guests are incredibly rare, but when they happen, we try to help make things right." They wired him money, to the tune of $20-plus thousand dollars, and put him up in a hotel for a week.

Nevertheless, Teman's case highlights the many problems that could potentially arise when you rent your domicile to strangers. I guess the only thing left to say about this rental agreement gone awry is that "they came, they saw, they conquered."
