‘The Daily Show With Trevor Noah’ Mocks Jeb Bush For Superhero Comments, Creeping on ‘Supergirl’ [Watch]
"The Daily Show" host Trevor Noah mercilessly mocked Republican Presidential candidate Jeb Bush for his comments last week on superhero movies and his awkward comment about "Supergirl's" Melissa Benoist.
Suffice it to say, "The Daily Show" really honed in on his comments made while at a Q&A event in Virginia.
He was first asked who is his favorite superhero was and when he responded, it was in a kind of weird way.
"I like watching the movies," Bush said in response to the question. "I wish I owned Marvel."
It was that last half of his statement that really fueled Noah's comical fire about owning Marvel.
"So wait, watching superhero movies makes you dream of owning a business?" Noah said, mocking Bush's response. "Not flying or shooting lightning?"
Noah went on to impersonate Bush in a faux manner: "If I had an inner super power, it would be a robust investment portfolio."
But Bush could not stop his awkward comments there. He went on to speak more about the topic where he said he saw there was an ad for a new "Supergirl" series on TV and stated that "She looked pretty hot," referring to young actress Melissa Benoist.
Of course, Noah had to bring that up to the main event for the segment.
"Damn. Jeb's creeping on the Kryptonian."
He then went on to speak directly to Jeb and say that "Supergirl" premieres next week at 8:30 and "based off Jeb's excitement, I suggest no one shake his hand after 9 p.m."
Noah then suggested that he should have just said "Captain America" was his favorite, but then pointed out that maybe he couldn't do that now that the new "Captain" is going up against conservatives in the comic book series.
That led to a series of news clips of conservative news outlets chastising comic books for using politics as a theme in their content.
See the clip below for the entire segment.
