Former U.S. champion John Cena is currently on a hiatus from the WWE and is set to return after Christmas, during the live event show at Madison Square Garden at New York City on Dec. 26. But according to a report by F4WOnline via Wrestling Inc, WWE is planning to have Cena return at an earlier date.

He is still scheduled to miss WWE Survivor Series this November, but WWE wants him to return to action on Dec. 13 at the WWE TLC pay-per-view. The event will be held in Boston, Mass., which is Cena's hometown.

The report added that WWE is planning to invoke his rematch clause with U.S. champion Alberto Del Rio at the event. The company also anticipates that the 15-time WWE World champion will get a big reaction from his hometown crowd.

In a separate report by F4WOnline, the leader of the "Cenation" is taking time off due to "personal reasons." It is not confirmed what "personal reasons" mean, but Scott Keith of Scott's Blog of Doom has said that Cena will be filming a fitness-themed reality show for FOX.

"A friend in the fitness industry is working on a fitness-themed reality show for FOX. The show is set to air in the spring. It will take 6-8 weeks to do everything. They also found out that the host of the show is going to be John Cena," Keith said on his blog.

At his age, Cena is probably thinking about a career outside of wrestling just like The Rock, Dave Batista and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. He was rumored to be leaving the WWE back in July, but he quickly shut down the idea, per Wrestle Zone.

What Culture noted that Cena's absence in the Survivor Series will be filled by The Undertaker as it marks the 25th anniversary of his debut. The current plan for the show is for The Undertaker to face The Wyatt Family in a traditional Survivor Series Match, per 24Wrestling.

At Hell in a Cell, The Undertaker lost to Brock Lesnar. After the match Bray Wyatt, Braun Strowman, Luke Harper and Erick Rowan attacked him. They then carried "The Phenom" away from the ring and did the same to his brother Kane at next night's Monday Night Raw.

As for Alberto Del Rio, The Wrestling News Observer reports, via Wrestling Inc., that he is scheduled to drop his AAA World Championship. More details of a contract also surfaced, including a $1.45 million per year salary and a reduced schedule.
