Bill Cosby has been under media attack for the past months after several women stepped up and complained they have been sexually assaulted by the comedian during his years of Hollywood fame.

Sofia Vergara was recently linked with these women. However, the actress denied being one of Cosby's victims.

"The Modern Family" star took to her Twitter page to deny that she is among Cosby's accusers. Vergara posted her response after noticing a Florida-based radio station, "En Candela," tweet about her involvement in the Cosby case.

"Respect people. Stop making up nonsense," Vergara said, according to a translation of her tweet posted by USA Today.

According to Huffington Post, the 43-year-old actress was responding to a tweet from the radio station after an old interview of Cosby with Vergara went viral. In the translation, En Candela's post stated, "A video of an interview of Bill Cosby and a young Sofia Vergara came out. It's rumored if she could've been one of his victims." However the radio station, which is said to be owned by Entravision, failed to mention where the rumor came from.

The video in reference is that of Vergara's interview about her film "Chasing Papi" in 2003. Cosby was reportedly guest-hosting "The Late Show" on behalf of David Letterman when the actress stopped by during a promotional tour for the film.

Cosby made some slight alterations to the usual interview portion, where Letterman would sit at his desk away from the guest. Instead as seen in the video below, Cosby has asked Vergara to sit beside him. Cosby is also seen constantly lurching forward throughout the interview making the actress squirm on her seat. He also seemed to be at a loss for the right words to say.

According to Huffington Post, Vergara had not initially questioned why and how the video was suddenly brought back to light after more than a decade. It was reportedly only when En Candela, which broadcasts as Salsa 98.1 FM, associated the video with Cosby's sexual allegations that Vergara spoke up. The radio station had supposedly considered the video suspicious.

More than 50 women have reportedly already aired their complaints of sexual misdemeanours and assault against Cosby. The 78-year-old continues to deny the allegations. Huffington Post said Cosby has not been criminally charged despite the increasing number of women who have aired their grievances against the actor.
