Controversial Miley Cyrus has recently unveiled her new "sad kitty" emoji tattoo that the singer had placed on her inner lip. The 21-year-old shared to her fans and the rest of the world, through Instagram.

Tattoos say a lot about a person; what is important to them or something deep and memorable that reveals their character. In light of the "Wrecking Ball" singer's new tat, which many have flat out called weird, we've compiled a quick list of other stars with weird tattoos, which begs the question, "What were they thinking?"

1.    Ed Westwick's Pin Up Girl (click here to see)

Ed Westwick plays a playboy millionaire on "Gossip Girl" and the 22-year-old Brit might have taken his role a bit too seriously. The tattoo placed on his right arm is a topless pin-up girl draped in red cloth with the words, "She's a pin-up." Some real manly men do enjoy a pin-up but this might be taking it a little too far.

2.    Steve-O's artful "Yeah dude, I rock!" back tat (click here to see)

"Jackass" star Steve-O tattooed on his back a screaming symbol of his high level of self-esteem. Steve-O is well known to use the expression "yeeeeeeaaaaaah dduuuuuuddeee" when something he considers good or ultimate has just happened. Maybe he's gotten lazy and next time he won't have to say it, when something does happen, he can just strip and show his back.

3.    Lil Wayne's Baked Tattoo (click here to see)

One of his newest tattoos inked on his forehead reads, "Baked," and is not the only one permanently residing on the rapper's face. While many has assumed this is related to the rapper's affinity to the "happy substances," the rapper has explained that the tattoo is the logo for Baker Skateboards, a hobby of the rapper.

Amber Rose wants the world to know how committed and in love she is to her baby daddy Wiz Khalifa! After walking down the aisle, Amber commemorated her relationship and family by tattooing Wiz' portrait on her arm.

5.    Eve's Chest Paws (click here to see)

Right smack in the middle of Eve's chest is a pair of dog paw prints that the star once told MTV news, "It's just funny, 'cause I got with the Ruff Ryders and they call themselves dogs and I call myself the bitch of the litter. And it just stuck, like the paws were supposed to be there."
