On the next episode of "The Good Wife," Alicia (Julianna Margulies) will confess that she no longer trusts Eli (Alan Cumming), while she and Lucca (Cush Jumbo) take on a case involving student loans.

In a preview of Sunday's all-new episode, which is titled "Payback," Alicia distances herself from Eli, her former campaign manager during her run for the state's attorney office.

"I just don't trust you anymore," she tells him. Her current chief of staff gives her a confused look in response.

Another clip of the trailer shows Cary (Matt Czuchry) and Howard Lyman (Jeffry Adler) engaged in a heated argument. Meanwhile, Cary and Diane (Christine Baranski) participate in an odd professional development session with their colleagues.

In another sneak peek video, Eli looks delighted when he sees Peter Florrick (Chris Noth) storm into Ruth Eastman's (Margo Martindale) office to complain about his campaign. Eli then goes to great lengths to eavesdrop on their conversation and overhears Peter yelling at his new campaign manager.

After listening to their conversation for a few minutes, he walks into Ruth's office and unassumingly asks if something is wrong and if he could be of any assistance. However, Ruth and Peter both ignore him, and eventually Ruth tells Peter that he is actually doing really well in the polls. In reply, Peter apologizes to her because he "flew off the handle," while Eli is left looking dumbfounded and disappointed.

According to CarterMatt, the synopsis reads as follows:

"Jason (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) employs aggressive investigative tactics when he assists Alicia and Lucca with a student loan case. Also, Howard Lyman alleges ageism at Lockhart, Agos & Lee, pointing to Cary as the primary offender, and Eli stirs up Florrick family drama on Peter's presidential campaign."

Episode 4 of Season 7 of "The Good Wife," "Payback," airs on Sunday, Nov. 1 at 9 p.m. ET on CBS.
