NeNe Leakes is set to return to "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" after testily abandoning the show before the start of the season.

TMZ reports, after vowing there was no chance she would, Leakes rejoined the cast during recent filming, vacationing with other cast members on a trip to Jamaica. Reports are none of the other ladies on the show were aware she would be coming and were all left flabbergasted upon her arrival.

Word is Leakes had recently been in talks with producers about a return to the show she suddenly found "boring." She was convinced to come back when Bravo execs made her an offer she apparently couldn't refuse. The episodes starring Leakes are scheduled to air toward the end of the season.

According to People Magazine, no one seems certain at this point how long Leakes' return might last or just how much she will actually appear on film. All that's known for certain is she and husband Gregg joined cast members for a stay at the Moon Palace Jamaica Grande in Ochos Rios, where they took surfing lessons and swam with dolphins.

"Everyone was very surprised to see her, but definitely friendlier than expected," a source said.

After seven years on the show, Leakes' exit didn't exactly come on good terms.

"I honestly do not have any regrets," she told People. "I never sacrificed who I was as a person. I never sacrificed NeNe. I feel like so many girls come on reality TV and they sacrifice and change so much. I never changed who I was for a story line or a paycheck or anything. I feel good about that."

Later, she announced she was joining the cast of the Broadway musical "Chicago."

"RHOA" Season 8 premieres Nov. 8 at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.
