Jennifer Lopez is planning to make herself at home during her upcoming Las Vegas residency tour, bringing some of her Bronx background to the desert city.

The "If You Had My Love" singer recently told Ocean Drive Magazine she plans to "bring out Jenny from the block" during her time in Vegas.

"I want it to be a high-energy, Bronx kind of black party," said the native New Yorker, who performed at Madison Square Garden Wednesday night. "I want people to really let loose."

The 46-year-old Lopez is slated to take the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino stage in late January for 20 shows that will run through mid-June.

"I've been preparing for this moment my entire life," she recently said in a statement. "The show is going to be a multifaceted high energy Jenny from the Block party, mixing all aspects of what my fans and I love -- Dance, Hip Hop, Latin and Pop. It's going to be the show I've always dreamt of creating."

Until then, the multidimensional star will busy herself with other projects, such as serving as a judge on the final season of "American Idol" and starring alongside Ray Liotta on the NBC detective series "Shades of Blue."

The two recently filmed scenes in New York in which Liotta was seen pulling his partner from an overturned car wreck. Much like in real life, Lopez has a daughter in the series, whom she will protect by any means necessary.

"Everything that she does, first, is for her daughter," the Daily Mail reports Lopez recently shared with Extra. "She's complicated, and I think there are going to be moments where [you] hate her, and moments where you love her."

The 15th and final season of "American Idol" premieres in January.
