Selena Gomez Reaches Out to Justin Bieber After Live, Onstage Meltdown
Selena Gomez is so concerned about Justin Bieber's live, onstage meltdown in Oslo, Norway on Thursday, the "Come Get It" singer has already reached out to her ex.
Hollywood Life reports, soon after word of Bieber storming offstage went public, Gomez made contact with those close to him to assure Bieber she's "only a phone call away."
"Selena is worried about Justin," a source said. "She reached out to his mom and left him a message letting him know she's only a phone call away. She thinks the pressure of the new album is getting to him and wants to reassure him that his true success as a human being is not dependent on the success of his album."
The 21-year-old Bieber is reported to have been hard at work in hopes of capping a successful comeback, after a brief lull in his career. His "Purpose" album is scheduled to be released soon, and the thinking among many is that all the pressure may have simply gotten to him.
During the Oslo performance, Bieber grew "incredibly frustrated" with a group of fans sitting in the front row, before storming off.
He later took to Instagram to express his remorse. He said, "Sadly it's been a rough week for me, long days no sleep, while having to be 'on' as they would say for cameras, fans, etc.. In no way did I mean to come across mean, but chose to end the show as the people in the front row would not listen."
Gomez is now hoping that her ex finds a way to put things in proper prospective and realizes his worth does not solely depend on the sales of his latest album.
"She wishes someone was with him to help him get some perspective," a source said. "She knows how much this album means to him, but thinks he's putting way too much pressure on himself with such black-and-white thinking that this is either a fresh start or the end of his career."
