Amazon Black Friday: Early Tech Deals Appear Well Before Black Friday
Black Friday may not be for another few weeks, but Amazon is already discounting products and getting customers ready for the holidays, especially on tech goods.
Amazon opened a month of sale shopping on Sunday with the launch of their Black Friday deals store, CNet reports. The website is counting down the days until Black Friday with special preview deals.
Each day, on the special Black Friday page, Amazon customers can find a Deals of the Day section with five products that will be on sale for 24 hours.
Monday's Deal of the Day included an unlocked Motorola Moto X smartphone for $199.99. This is the second generation Moto X, equipped with 16GB of storage, a 5.2-inch Full HD AMOLED screen that is protected by Gorilla Glass 3, a 13 megapixel (MP) camera, and 2GB of RAM. The phone can be taken to any GSM carrier, but will not work with CDMA carriers like Sprint or Verizon. The Moto X is available in three colors: Black Leather, Black Soft touch or White/Bamboo.
Video game players could also purchase Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain on either PlayStation 4 or Xbox One for $39.99. This game is the latest Metal Gear solid title, and just went on sale on Sept. 1. The normal price of the game is $59.99. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain has earned favorable reviews by Amazon customers. Based on 522 customers, the game has earned a 4.5-star rating out of 5, and 77 percent have given it a 5-star rating.
The special Black Friday page from Amazon also offers special Lightning Deals. These deals only last a few hours and sale items have limited supplies. Once the items sell out or time runs out, they will no longer be available for purchase at that price. Lighting Deals are usually customized to the user's browsing history. Popular items include portable cellphone chargers, Bluetooth speakers and more.
The final section of the Black Friday page shows featured savings and sales. On Monday, TVs, men's grooming items and camera lenses were featured.
